In the midst of the sea of social sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google +, and many many more…I believe we tend to be attracted to the one site that speaks to our personality. So, I’m not here today to discuss how to market your business on a particular site. Rather touch on why we use Social Media platforms – what is it that speak to us?

I’m generalizing this because now a days you can hook up via cell, Wifi, or Ethernet

Why is it that we can’t even imagine a day going by without turning on an ISP (internet service provider); to get our daily “News Feed” – what’s going on with our ‘friends’ and family – locally or around the Globe.

And at the end of the day are we really ‘sharing’ the full story.
Meanwhile, we all are living in our own little bubble.
So is that the draw? That we can live out lives the way we want to portray it?! Is that what’s so provocative about social media?

If that is the case then we know why advertisers want to grab our attention as much as they can. They are drawn to our emotions like bees are to honey.

But, I do find it amazing that some how your personality does leak out. I think social media sites do build confidence and strength relationships. So what, our children are going to be socially inept, but in their world we’re the ones are socially inept. So are they just adapting to their environment? Who are we to say what their futures are going to be like. Perhaps we’re being a little harsh on our young generation. However I like the recent post on a friend’s wall “you deserve nothing, you must work for everything”. So, if that’s being harsh then it is what it is…LOL
